Why market timestamps matter

← All guides·By Bet-Mate Editorial Team

A price can stay the same while it is checked again and again. It can also stay on screen because its source stopped updating. The price alone can't tell you which is happening.

The time of the last price change tells you when the number last moved. A page refresh is something else: reloading a table doesn't mean every source has sent a new price.

Refresh is not zero delay

Premium Latest Movements has no added delay: Betfair prices update about every minute and Pinnacle prices about every 3 minutes, and the page refreshes itself every 30 seconds. That is how fresh the sources are, not a promise of zero delay. A source problem or a suspended market should still be visible.

The Free movement window

At 12:00, a Free 60-minute window delayed by 30 minutes covers 10:30 to 11:30. Both ends of the window are delayed.

Dates also depend on a time zone. "Today" and "Next 2 days" follow the time zone shown on the page. Check it when you compare a kick-off time with a bookmaker or another device.

If a time is missing, treat it as unknown. Missing information is not the same as "just changed" or "no movement".
